About The Role

Hippo is a rapidly growing digital consultancy passionate about building and delivering transformative digital solutions for a diverse range of Public and Private sector clients. We are looking to recruit talented Content Designers for current contractor opportunities. Due to the variety of our projects and clients, we have Inside IR35 positions available on a short-term or long-term basis with hybrid/flexible working arrangements.

Content Designers ensure that people using a service can get the information they need, when they need it, in a format that’s right for them. They work with user researchers to identify what people need from a service. Then they write content to meet those needs, collaborating with UX designs and other members of multidisciplinary teams to shape, test and iterate a service in response to user feedback.

Our solutions empower our customers to build and support secure, scalable, and well-engineered systems beyond traditional boundaries that allow our customers to understand and get the most from their data and digital services. The Senior Content Designer will be a key player in this.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the design and implementation of content strategy to ensure our clients’ business requirements are met
  • Create and iterate content for end-to-end services, making complex language easy to understand and complex processes easy to use
  • Advise and support content design colleagues and other members of Agile teams
  • Use insights from user research and metrics to shape content strategy, and explain your content design decisions clearly
  • Be an expert in Agile delivery, identifying the best Agile processes for projects and measuring the success of outcomes
  • Work with other designers to create and iterate prototypes
  • Build long-term, strategic relationships with stakeholders
  • Run workshops with your team and stakeholders
  • Advocate for user-centred design, and content design in particular
  • Work with the Hippo design community to share best practice to ensure high standards, including attending content crits and writing blog posts
